Band Organs from San Antonio TX
By Bill Finch

Sometime in the 70's, Playland Park in San Antonio Texas went belly-up
and disposed of it's assets. A Wurlitzer 146 used on a large Parker
Carousel and a Wurlitzer 153, used on a Parker Kiddie Carousel (actually
located at Playland Kiddie Park) were sold. Do any of you Band Organ
people out there have any idea of where these instruments are today?

An interesting side note: The last time I heard the Wurlitzer 153 it had
been tuned a half step below the bell tuning. It sounded great until the
bells came on and then it was quite rancorous. It was obviously unloved.
None of the listeners seemed to mind.
