AMAZING MAZE - Interactive Internet Concert

[ Dr. Essl was formerly a subscriber to MMD, but left to continue
 [ his development of real-time composition controlled by humans !
 [ I was very impressed with the demonstration program he provided

AMAZING MAZE (1996 ff.) -- An interactive real-time composition for
sampled sound particles and live performers, controlled by Internet
users, will be broadcast live on Thursday, 18 Sept. 1997, 10:17 - 12:00 PM
MET, on Austrian Radio Oe1 (92.0 MHz), and also live-broadcast on the
Internet via RealAudio at

   http://www.thing.or.at/thing/orfkunstradio/

Another manifestation of the work-in-progress AMAZING MAZE (1996 ff.) at

   http://www.ping.at/users/essl/works/amazing.html

will be presented as a 2 hours live concerts at the Austrian Radio which
will be broadcast on the Internet via RealAudio.  7 musicians from
different musical contexts, experimental improvisers and composers, will
perform the piece together.

The constellations of musicians playing together will be determined by a
random-driven computer program which in turn is being triggered by Internet
users -- please refer to the following URL for more information:
