Some points of note about the MBSI Bulletin that came yesterday:
(1) My copy is messed up -- pages 4-8 are missing, and 9-10 are
duplicated, and some pages are blank. I fear that pages 4-8 include
photos and report of the Sandusky OH organ rally I attended, and I'd like
to see those. If anyone got a proper copy, could you tell the rest of us
what we're missing, before we call up MBSI and request a new copy?`
(2) There's a great article by Phil Jamison on modern Dutch organ
builders and restorers -- he got to see his Pilsen 45er before delivery.
(Was this the one I cranked for one tune at Sandusky?) Herbert Miller
just asked about Dutch organ history, and he'd probably like to see this
article (free plug for the MBSI :-).
(3) Another good article on modern American makers of mechanical music
machines, including band organs (two makers), disc music boxes (possibly
based on the Regina 15.5" scale), and Ramey's marvelous banjo players.
