We have been advertising the Bowers' Encyclopedia of Automatic Musical
Instruments for over two months now, having been promised by the
publisher that it would be available in early June. There were a series
of slippages, the most serious of which related to the photos and their
preparation.
This is an enormous book 1000 pages, with multiple photos on almost every
page, thus the complications. In any event, it has now been printed,
it is on its way, and we have a delivery date here of this Wednesday,
September 10th. We will fill the many orders we already have as quickly
as possible, hopefully within a week.
We started out offering the Encyclopedia at $90 postpaid and $160 for two
postpaid. Because we ordered in such large quantity, we decided that we
could afford to offer it for less, thus a month or so ago we reduced our
price to $80 each postpaid, and two for $150 postpaid (checks only, no
credit cards). For any of you who sent payment at the higher rate, rest
assured that you will be receiving a refund for the difference along with
your book(s). Everyone will get the lower price.
Again, sorry for the delay, but it was unavoidable, at least from our
end. We are just very pleased that this critical reference book, truly
the "bible" of the hobby, is back in print again, if only for a limited
run.
