There's been a bunch of behind-the-scenes projects going on here. I've
improved the backups of Foxtail machine to try to reduce the likelyhood
that a disk crash or other calamity might permanently destroy data. I've
set up the MMD Website machine as a true mirror of that machine. This
should eliminate the problem of missing Digests in the FTP area. I'm
preparing a pair of removable disks for Robbie so that he can take his
projects with him more easily when he's on the road. I'm also setting
him up with a SoundBlaster AWE-32 board and software. I expect we'll
hear some new tunes before the end of the year as a consequence.
The secure MMD Website for credit card transactions is working reliably,
and a few people have tried it out. Transmission of credit card data
is encrypted for safety. If you've been thinking about sending us
a support payment, this is a good way to do it. You can experiment
with the mechanism without committing to sending a payment by just filling
out the comment window and your e-mail address. Please Follow the link
from the MMD home page:

I'm also going to be putting a new graphic that J.L. Stubbs did for MMD
up on the Website soon. J.L.'s really got the touch when it comes
to animated graphics.
I'd like some feeback as to how who is using the FTP and the Website.
Both are getting a lot of hits lately. Because access is anonymous, its
hard to tell who is accessing the site. If you use the FTP site or the
Web site, please drop me a note at:
rollreq@foxtail.com
Thanks
