National Piano Made By Lester
By Bill Maxim

[ In Digest 970816 Colin Hinz wrote about the instrument collection at
[ Musee Mechanique in San Fransisco, and said he needed further
 [ identification of a National coin-piano.

Someone recently gave me a National (Baltimore) player piano if I would
get it out of their house. I haven't had time to start restoration of
it, but my preliminary look-see tells me it was made by Lester. It is
not listed in my Michel's Piano Atlas, so I assume it was a stencil piano
made by Lester to sell under the National name.
