I'm pleased to announce that its now possible to support the
Mechanical Music Digest via MasterCard and Visa by filling out an
on-line form.

The information you enter into the form is automatically encrypted before
transmission via the Internet to the Foxtail Web site.  From there, the
information is forwarded to my personal computer via encrypted e-mail.
The credit card data is secure because its only decrypted for the brief
time while I'm reading the e-mail message.  I manually key-in the data
to the bank, so there's a human sanity check of the data (i.e. the amount)
before its actually processed.

The form includes a comment box which you can fill in.  You can try out
the secure form by not filling in your credit card data and just filling
in your e-mail address and the comment box.  I've put a link to the
secure credit card form at the bottom of the MMD home page.  You may
need to hit "reload" if you've visited recently.  The URL is:

The charge form is pointed to by the page above and is on a separate
secure server.  Its URL is:

I hope that this added convenience will help increase the number of
people supporting the Digest.
