Actually, I did get two excellent direct replies which entirely agreed
with Bill and Dee's views, and has convinced me that restoration of this
player would be well worthwhile.   Unfortunately, the owner hasn't the
money to spend on it so we will have to work out some other way to get it
done.  But rest assured, it will not be converted to something else if I
have anything to do with it.

In the meantime, does anyone out there have an Art-Echo test roll that
they would be prepared to part with?  I think this would be essential if
I am to get it going with the only information available being copies of
the original service sheets.
