Neil,
Assuming My roll reader works like it should I will be happy to copy
rolls for people. for a modest fee.
With the health of the industry in mind, I have to make the following
exceptions. Due to copyrights I cannot & will not copy....
Anything currently produced by QRS either in roll or midi form.
Anything by Artcraft, Bam Bam, (except my own) or Bluestone.
In short anything that is still available by anyone for sale, or in cases
Cere copyrights are still in effect. You may want to contact these people
and see if They have MIDI files of their rolls. They probably do.
I know the above is a rather sweeping statement, but we have to respect
other peoples property. Obsolete rolls are no problem.
You may want to check out John Roache's And George Batako's MIDI files
on the Web. Great music.
If all goes well my roll reader will be ready by September. I intend
to support the 88 and 65 note format. The 65 note files can be availabe
in either original or"added" notes( re-edited)
Currently my MIDI editing program is Cakewalk. However if I can find
one that supports roll perforating equipment better, I will change it.
The roll reader is pneumatic operated. It will not do the fancy stuff
like read the expression coding in rolls but it will copy the notes
via MIDI.
