Hi, members of MMD !
My name is Ulrich Kathmann, and I am a new member of MMD. I found this
mailing list with one of the Web's search engines. I am living in
Twistringen, a town about 50 kilometers southwest of Bremen (look for
it in Lower Saxony in the northern part of formerly West Germany). I am
working at DASA, the "Deutsche Aerospace Airbus" company, in a "Computer
Aided Engineering" group.
My musical interests are mostly ragtime, novelty piano and jazz piano
music (before you now mail all the addresses of web sites containing
this kind of music as MIDI files : I've got nearly all of them - addresses
and MIDIs). I own a Yamaha Disklavier and enjoy the above mentioned music;
I use Gieblers Software to convert the MIDIs in Disklavier format. I am
also member of DUG, the Disklavier Users Group (also a mailing list),
but at the time traffic is very slow and the points discussed are not
very interesting. My main interest (also for this mailing list) : seeking
for more stuff for my Disklavier. Jim Hendershot's "Well Tempered
Disklavier" Web page is a good idea, but postings of any files rarely
happen.
Perhaps some members of MMD would like to provide/exchange stuff with me,
either in ESEQ format or in MIDI format (as most of you won't have a
Disklavier or Clavinova). Is there any privately "from-piano-roll-to-MIDI"
converted stuff available (beside QRS) ? As MMD is not the forum for
this, please for any contact send e-mail to "ulrich.kathmann@airbus.dasa.de".
Looking through MMD's archive I found many interesting postings. Hope
this will continue, and maybe some day I can contribute with some useful
informations.
