Hi again, Thanks to the many comments I have received from this group
and via E-mail, I now have sufficient evidence about the zephir skins
from the Kansas supplier to render them useless. They cannot be glued
properly, and that is that. I have shipped them back today and have been
given a credit (hopefully).
This is once again a real eye opener to me as I have lost a great deal of
money and time because of the supplier's lies about his product's glue-
ability. I would have thought that a supplier of this nature would not
even ship such rubbish and take it off his shelves altogether. Well, I
guess it was considered good enough to ship to South Africa.
About the spelling of 'Zephir' as mentioned by Robbie in MMD of
yesterday, the spelling I used in my original question came directly
from the catalogue of the Kansas supplier and has no relevance to any
South African English dialect whatsoever. Incidentally, I am German and
'Zephir' would be the correct spelling in German, too.
Anyway, thank you all for your help and beware of junk materials, even
in the USA.

[ That's a big laugh on me! Like the children's game of "Gossip",
[ the German spelling in the catalog was repeated, 'round and 'round.
[ I guess now we can settle upon "zephyr". -- Robbie
