The UK upper tax-rate is 40%, but in the Isle of Man it is 20%, and they
have no Capital Gains tax. So, in exchange for putting up with the
problems and inconvenience of living on a little island betwixt England
and Ireland, you save a bit of tax. I am here for just over 6 months of
the year and on the mainland for the rest of the time. (That's the most
I would put in writing, if you see what I mean.)
