Bruce Miller asked about database software for a roll collection.
Any current Windows database should be able to handle a roll catalog with
titles, song lists, artist, and plenty of other information. If you have
recently bought a computer or plan to buy one soon, check and see: a
suitable database program may be included with your machine.
For example, I have Microsoft Access on my computer at the office, and it
has a template for a music collection database already included. The
template can be modified to suit individual preferences. Many other
packages can do the same tasks, though they may not have a nice template
already created.
Ease of use is in the eye of the beholder. Look for a software shop that
has a demonstration computer where you can try out the programs before
buying.
