Transcribing and Perforating Midi Files
By Robert Hopp

"Amadeus" is the machine you are "day-dreaming" for !

It reads, converts to MIDI in real-time and perforates all known roll-
or book- standards up to 455 mm (almost 18 inches) width. It is absolutely
precise and has large possibilities of reading and error correction.
About 15 parameters are programmable by software under DOS and Win95.

It is in use since 1990, it reads and perforates every day music for
hundreds of different instruments in about 60 scales in 30 countries of
the world. We have collected several thousand Midi files, and a handful
of professional, specially trained musicians working at home create,
modify or transpose files to other scales or standards.

We make single pieces or small series of all rare scales as well as
recuts for collectors. Another service we offer is archiving whole
collections on CD-ROM.

"Amadeus" is a complete system that can be provided full featured,
perforating and scanning with optical fibers, all scales, ready to use,
3 days of instruction, without computer hardware : 80.000 DM. Video
scanning, automatic : 20.000 DM more. Limited versions are possible,
need to be discussed.

We offer perforating from MIDI in all scales for 3 DM /m (about US$1.76
per meter) and provide paper or folded cardboard in all sizes.

It would be fine to have at least one "Amadeus" working in USA !

 [ $50,000 (DM 80,000) seems a lot, but it's no more than John Malone's
[ perforator investment at Play-Rite, I'm sure. There is much, much
[ work awaiting someone who can perforate *any* format from a computer
[ file (and who can satisfy the customer, of course! :). -- Robbie
