Dear Readers,

I mentioned some time ago that I would arrange to be able to take
domestic and international support payments via VISA and MasterCard.
All of the e-mail problems we've had recently have distracted me from
putting together a form for collecting the necessary authorization
from those who want to send financial support this way.

I spoke with my banker today, and we've come up with the form below.
It's somewhat tedious, but I believe it meets the banker's requirements.
I think this is the first time my small local bank has encountered
Internet Commerce.  Fortunately my banker trusts me, but would still
be more comfortable with wording as below.  Its particularly important
to him that there be no "disputed" charges.  Hence the wording regarding
"previously received" Digests.  Of course, Robbie and I don't intend
to stop publishing, but we want to be sure that we have no liability
in the event that something bad happens to us or the computer.

Since charges must be made in U.S. Dollars, it may be convenient for
you to check on the current exchange rate.  The current exchange rate
can be found at the following Web site:
