I visited it yesterday. What a great set of pages! Plenty of ironic
(well, British) humor, mixed in with solid information. Luckily I knew
enough about organs to know when my leg was being pulled -- or did I?
Which leg?
[ Hmmm. I once heard of a confused organist ... ;) -- Robbie
I have some book music but am ashamed to admit that I hadn't realized
that one full-scale glissando would cut the book music in half. That's
one of the many important items you'll find on his page, besides the
great links to others. Don't miss the maintenance and tuning hints for
organs (by Hal O'Rourke).
As for the revolutionary new organ-playing system, Melvyn may have left
out the most charming part: an even more compact and easy-to-use version
was developed by -- the Dutch! A company that exports lots of bulbs,
but don't expect tulips in Springtime.
I already had an order placed for some of his 20-note roll arrangements,
and can assure you that he is quite real. His repetition test rolls are
no joke -- just ask your organ.
[ That confused organist again? :-))
