The song is possibly "Dear Old Daddy-Long-Legs", by Neville Fleeson &
Albert von Tilzer, (c) 1919 Broadway Music Co., and proclaiming
prominently on the cover, "dedicated to Mary Pickford." This data is
from a photocopy of the sheet music. The style of the sheet music
arrangement is a two-step or fox-trot.
The first line of the chorus is "Dear old Daddy Long Legs, I'm in love
with you," and the remainder of the song is a well-crafted promotion for
Miss Pickford's movies, in the style of a 'fan letter'. I can't recall
another Broadway song which is so self-serving !
