Maybe phenoseal isn't modge poge but it sure smells like it. I have
thinned it down with water and it acts the exact same way as phenoseal.
Alleens tacky glue is the closest thing I've found to PVC-E its great
for sealing top valve plates, glueing valve facings to metal discs.
Thin it down and it makes a wonderful sealer too. I wouldn't be caught
without it. Its no harder to remove than PVC-E.
I like to recover pneumatics with hot glue, especially the hinge.
PVC-E or the tacky glue is much too flexible as craig pointed out.
But I covered my last set with hot glue and plastic glue for the
hinge end. It seems to work fine.
I also like to recover the small two tier pneumatics with plastic
glue. Maybe that means that I'm not too good gluing the small stuff
with hot glue!!!!!
I would like to thank Jody and Robbie for putting my "lost piano"
page up on their website. I haven't found that case style Foster and
Company player yet but I'm hot on the trail of one in New York. For
some strange reason. Foster player pianos have been popping up
everywhere. In the house, the Garage, the carport. The people around
here have already dubbed me "The Foster piano guy".
Oh well, I might as well collect something!!!! When I get interested
in something I go right off the deep end. I guess that explains the 11
Checker cars here in the yard!! I traded a Beckwith for a Foster.
I traded a "straight" JP Seeburg for a Foster. I still have a Aeolian
and a Neuman bros... That should be worth two more Fosters!!!!! If I
keep this up the men in the white suits may come and take me away!!!!
