Rolls with Wrinkles and Ridges
By Carl Dodrill

I have several Aeolian Grand 58 note rolls and Aeolian 176 note pipe
organ rolls which have wrinkled paper, or paper with ridges and waves
which prevent its coming across the tracker bar in a uniform manner so
that extra notes sound when they should not.

I have heard that you can take a clothes iron and iron the wrinkles and
ridges/gulleys out. I would like to hear of anyone who has done this,
and in particular how hot do you set the iron and do you use steam from
the iron? What are the cautions here?

Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer.
