On 6 July 1997 the 5th International Mechanical Music Exchange of Les
Gets (France) will take place.  From 09 till 19 hours, with free
entrance, on the 'Place de la Mairie' there will be an exchange of
Mechanical Music Instruments, phonographs, automata, documents,
accessories, parts, etc.

Besides a beautiful Museum of Mech. Music Instruments, Les Gets owns also
a workshop for restoration of instruments and a workshop for noting and
making perforated-carton book music.  The fabulous collection of automata
('scenes animees') of the perfumer "Roger & Gallet" can also be visited.
Stands are free.  Participants will be offered a dinner-spectacle on
Saturday evening.  Inscription closes on 1 June 1997.

This exchange is scheduled every first Sunday of July of the odd years.
On the third weekend of July of the even years the 'Festival International
de la Musique Mecanique' takes place.  The next festival of 17, 18 and 19
July 1998 will have the theme 'Automata.'
