Have Your [Financial] Cake and Eat It Too
By John A. Tuttle
Fellow MMD'ers,
Anybody who knows me, knows that I love a lively conversation
and an interesting subject. I don't mind getting my hands dirty
and I don't mind being wrong but I have to say something that
may not receive favorable responses.
After reading through ALL of the posted letters regarding the
monetary situation of the MMD I have only two things to say.
Jody, this is NOT OUR CALL. The MMD belongs to you and you are
responsible for making any and all financial decisions about
the publication. You are not going to please everyone with any
action you take except if you leave it as it is.
Doesn't it really stink when you realize that in order to survive
you have to be selective AND demanding? So it is in any
profitable business. As of Jan 1, 1997, I notified 3000
previous customers that I no longer had the time to service
their regular pianos. Now the player business is booming. Go
figure! What's that saying, "Ya pays your dues, ya takes your
chances." Just make a decision!
