CHONG CORRECTED
By Matthew Caulfield

Al Menashe mentions the roll "Chong Who Comes From Hong Kong."
That 1918 tune by Harold Taylor Weeks may have that gentrified
title on its label, but the actual title is in pidgin English,
for the record: Chong (He Come From Hon Kong). One sometimes
sees Come "corrected" to Came. This is a common problem with
tune title, that they suffer over-correction at the hands of
    well-intended editors.
