Trimming Plastic Keytops

Several very good articles by Bill Spurlock have appeared in the Piano
Technicians Journal in recent years. He outlines procedures for building
jigs for trimming keytops with a table-mounted router and a carbide
laminate trimmer bit. The set-up works quite well, if you can stand the
screaming of a router for an hour at a time (even with ear plugs and
muffs). If anyone is interested, email me privately and I'll dig out the
specific articles.

Les Smith's suggestion of using a 1-inch belt sander looks like a _really_
good approach, which I'm going to try very soon. Steady hand, there...
