Starr Player Pouches
By Debbie Legg

Hello all, I am presently rebuilding a Starr player that had a previous
rebuild, maybe 25 years ago. I have found that the former rebuilder
replaced all the pouches with Perflex. My question is: do any of you know
whether Starr player actions used leather or pneumatic cloth for the
pouches? There appears to be a minuscule remnant of black debris
(pneumatic cloth?) in the rims of the wells. I don't want to get into a
pouch porosity vs. bleed size dilemma. If all else fails I'll search the
archives for bleed size per pouch material information.

Thanks, Debbie Legg
