I looked at a Weaver player piano yesterday that was for sale. I hadn't
heard of the name before, and it wasn't listed in Reblitz's book. The
owners wanted $400 for it and said it was in great condition, but when I
got there I found a disaster.
Not only was it painted white with gold specks, but the cabinet was badly
split in places, the ribs were 1/2 inch from the badly split sound board,
etc.
I left my name and told them to call me when they were ready to throw it
away. They are into old cars and know that they shouldn't throw away the
parts. Any information on Weaver out there?
