Four-system Vorsetzer
By Megumi Imai
The "Four-system Vorsetzer" I saw in Tokyo may be the same thing that Tom Steuer got at the auction, instead of the another "Four-system Vorsetzer", I think.

I think the former owner of Tushinsky's collection (including the Boesendorfer Imperial Grand and about two-thousand rolls) was Mr. Tsumura, president of a Japanese pharmacy. He purchased them in 1988 or 1989 at Los Angeles, and he brought them to Tokyo.
I can't remember the detail of it's mechanism, but there is a picture of it. (It is not clear.) I'll send you it with this letter. The serial number of the Boesendorfer Imperial Grand was #9319.
Sorry, I can't write English very fast, so I quit writing for now. I'll write again later.
Good bye.

[ Thank you, Megumi. I sent the jpeg image to Tom Steur. I hope he [ will tell us if the photo shows a Vorsetzer which he owns ! -- Robbie |
