Chicago Coin Band Box
By Bob Fitterman

If you visit The Bubble Room restaurant in Captiva, Florida, (just off the coast from Fort Myers) you will find that they have (what appears to me) to be the complete "Band Box."

If it's supposed to be inside a juke box, it's not: this is a wall- mounted arrangement, semi-circular, with a curtain around the band. The employees report that it used to operate properly, but that over time, wear and tear has taken its toll. Upon request, they will turn it on, and some of the figures move as they play their instruments. The curtain is permanently in the open position. I saw it there in December 1996.
