Digest Wish List

Robbie & Jody: Here is an item for the foxtail.com wish list:
It would be really handy if the first column of
/pub/mechanical-music/digests/index
was an anchor (link) like it is in the quarterly indexes that are on the home page. That way you could 1) download the list of all articles ever, 2) use your browser's search function to hone in on the exact digests to look at, and 3) go directly to them. As it is today you must traverse the directory a bit to get to the digest for a particular date.
We could probably start another discussion about the future of the material in the archives -- if and when I need to rebuild my player I hope to make use of the archives. Do you have any thoughts on the future of the archives?

[ Lots of thoughts, and I hope some will come true. For right now
[ we're just using e-mail, because it provides "delivery to your
[ doorstep" every day, like a newspaper. We're experimenting with
[ other vehicles, though, including HTML with links like you wish.
[ That will enable the "push-button Digest", but I don't know yet
[ how to deliver conveniently to everyone's doorstep!

[ The archive is right now receiving upgrades for future automation,
[ through the tireless work of our member Bob Fitterman. Jody and Bob
