Hi Debi, That's a tough one. I don't know of any technicians in the Islands. I am going to post your request for help in the world-wide distributed Mechanical Music Digest. Perhaps one of the near 500 members knows someone in Hawaii. I hope we can find you the help you need.
Considering what you said about the motor, I suppose the first logical question is, if you plug the motor directly to a wall socket (via an extension cord), does the motor spin? I hope you have 110-120 VAC at 60 Hz (60 cycles per second).
