Introduction
By Marc Finlen
Good Day to All, My name is Marc Finlen. My wife and I have been wanting a player-piano for awhile. We finally acquired what I think (and hope!) is an older player that I can restore. I am new to this but do have a fair knack for mechanical devices and have been reading up on the subject with Arthur Reblitz's book.
Sorry to ask for information without yet contributing, but can anyone give me a source or a point of contact to try to gather some historical info on this piano? More to satisfy my curiosity than anything. Any help would be appreciated.
I look forward to gaining a keener insight from you all and hopefully contributing in some way.
Thanks.
Marc Finlen
[ Welcome to MMD, Marc. I think you'll have a lot of fun restoring [ your piano. Send us another note with some details: make, serial [ number (near the tuning pins), and your general impressions. The [ experienced techs in our group can then give you some history and [ specific pointers. Good luck and write again. -- Robbie
