Inventory of Mechanical Organs
By Matthew Caulfield
Robbie proposed a world-wide inventory of instruments, prompted by Jaeger & Brommer's desire to track down Waldkirch instruments. That would be a useful list to have, albeit one that would take a LOT of collaborative effort to produce, not to mention keeping it current as machines are traded.
The Ruth organ down in New Zealand should probably be linked with its cousins at Bush Gardens and Myrtle Beach. And the one remaining organ in Coney Island, a Bruder passing as a BAB , needs to associate again with its Bruder brothers in Missouri, Wisconsin, and throughout Europe. The recently deceased Alan Pier once proposed such an inventory, but no one stepped forward to start it.
[ Folks like Matthew and Philip Jamison probably know the rest of [ the folks in North America who might have this knowledge. What [ we need is a volunteer to be the central collector of the data. [ Who can help? -- Robbie
