Historical Lyrics on Rolls
By Michael Concordia

I think Craig Brougher has really put his finger on it concerning historical roll lyrics. Some may find it interesting that in recent video re-releases of several "Our Gang" comedies (you know; Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, etc.), a warning of sorts is presented in the beginning that deals with the 'politically incorrect' nature of the situations in many of these films (racial stereotypes, casting of minorities in only subservient roles, etc.)

But they go on to say that "we can't change history; we can learn from it and watch with educated eyes." I think this advice parallels perfectly the subject of these roll lyrics. I recommend watching one of these to anyone who thinks such media are valueless.
