Rusty Spots On The Cylinder
By Hauke Marxsen

Hello Enthusiasts!

I stored a dozen cylinder movements (50- and 72-teeth Reuge movements) in a wrong place -- it was too moist. Two years ago I brushed them with a little bit of clock-oil (not much), and I thought, "That does it against rust," but it seems to be false.

Meanwhile around the pins on the brass cylinder there are brown-black rusty spots (shadows). What's the best treatment to destroy the spots? Many thanks for response.
