Last I knew, Lee Valley services their US customers from a mail-order distribution point (i.e. no retail store) a hop across the border. I've no idea of the contact information, as it's strangely not in their catalogues, and perusing through recent issues of Fine Woodworking doesn't turn up any ads or reviews of their products. Very peculiar.
I've been considering Lee Valley as a source of hide glue -- does anybody have any experience with it? They sell a pound of granular glue for $10.95, and a pound of slower-setting pearl glue for $9.95. They also sell a one-quart thermostatically-controlled glue pot, American made but manufacturer not stated, for $118. How is this for a price? (All prices quoted are Canadian dollars, worth about 3/4 the USA variety.)
