Jingle bells
By George Bogatko
HI ALL:
I couldn't officially post "Frosty the Snowman" to the web page (still under copyright) however I can put "Jingle Bells" there -- and so it is.
When you enter the page, you'll see right off the bat a part that says:
"There some examples of the Christmas Nickelodeon roll that I'm working on converted to MPEG3 files. **You can find them here.**
Click on the "You can find them here" and it'll take you right there. It's coded in MPEG3 format. You can get an MPEG3 player under the section called "My Influences", which is nearby.
This was composed (arranged really) using a modified soundfont that allows me to have all the O-roll sections available at once in one "piano roll" view. The Vienna sf2 editer allows that kind of sectionalizing. The upshot is that the MIDI image, except for the expression holes, which still have to be put in, could map directly -- hole for hole -- into a punched roll. A very pleasant way to do arranging.
There are two version of the file -- one will stream down directly (without hiccups) if you have a 28k modem, but is not very hi-fi. The other (labeled "Non-Streaming") is larger (1.5Mg), but is very high quality sound (but still mono).
This is part of the Christmas roll I'm working on (for next season -- these things take forever to do).
Merry Xmas
