Re: Hardman Duo

Bryan, MMD -
The names "Hardman," "Hardman Duo," "Duo-Art" and about 40 other names, all appear on pianos made by the Aeolian Corporation from the '50's through about 1985s. Many names, such as Hardman, Peck, were gleaned from piano companies that faltered during the great depression. Most of the pianos were the same basic instrument with different names stuck on. Although they used the name "Duo" or "Duo-Art," the players were only 88-note and not reproducers. I am not aware that the "Hardman Duo" was measurably different from any other of their players, so there should be no problem with getting and applying such a decal if you so desire. Others can correct me on this, but I have serviced a number of them and can see no difference.
