Hardman Duo ?
By Bryan Cather

I recently bought an 1960's(?) Vintage Hardman player whose case has been refinished. It came with about 60 (mostly) QRS rolls, + a couple from AEolian. The decal above the keys (there is no fallboard) reads "Hardman" with the corporate seal, and the name Hardman Peck in smaller letters. I'm assuming the original decal was destroyed in the refinishing process, and that this is a copy. My question is this:

Is this piano a "Hardman Duo"?
The reason I ask is several of the rolls that came with it advertise the "Har dman Duo" on the leader. I know players are sometimes difficult to date using the Pierce Piano Atlas, but if anyone can help, I will try to get everything off the top and look for the serial number.
