Where Can I Buy 7/8 Inch Bridge Pins?
By Larry Mayo
I descided to pull all the bridge pins from the upright I'm working on, and try the epoxy reconditioning method. I plan to sand the bridge flat, fill it with slow set epoxk and drive in new pins coated with mold release. Once the epoxy is dry, I will pull te pins again and sand the bridge flat again in order to remove the high spot where the epoxy is pushed up by the insertion of the pins. I will then rub the bridge with graphite and drive in the pins again. The problem I have is that the Schaff catalog only shows 3/4" pins. I need to find out where I can get longer ones as the originals are 7/8". Also, I have measured the diameter of the original pins at about .087. What pin size is this?
