Stephen Bicknell's wonderfully entertaining and, at the same time,
educational, well-written treatise on Orchestrions and Fairground
Organs brightened up my day. I am planning to rail through Europe this
summer but had not thought of stopping in Belgium. But after reading
Stephen's piece, I have decided that I should not miss the Belgium love
of life.
How about it, Stephen? Can you give me a few places to explore that
wonderful Belgium fruit beer and mussels with fries, in addition to
some Belgium Fair Organ locations?
My main reason for going is to revisit my family in Naples, Italy. I
visited two years ago and found such wonderful people that I must
return. Anyone on line have any experiences (+ and -) with Naples?
I'd love to chat via my email because I realize that the MMD is not the
forum for travel experiences (unless it involves musical instruments).
Right, Jody?

[ Editor's Note:
[
[ I'd have to agree that travel discussions not related in some
[ way to Mechanical Music is a bit off the topic. Getting a private
[ conversation started this way is OK with me.
[
[ Incidentally, Verbeeck Organworks is in St Job in T Goor, near
[ Antwerp (North Central) if my geography is correct. I don't
[ know what is required to get a tour, but it would seem to be
[ worthwhile. The Berbeeck family has been in the business
[ for at least 3 generations. The address and phone numbers
[ were in last night's digest.
