Ragtime Teaching Tools
By Michael Sands

Your friend looking for a player piano reminded me of a CD ROM title recently introduced, using a technology I helped develop. It is Crazy for Ragtime, but Robert Winter. Robert is well known for developing CD ROM titles that teach and demonstrate music. It contains the history, examples of many tunes, and even allows you to compose your own Rag. It runs both on the Mac and PC. You might suggest it to your friend. I have no financial interest in the product, and the technology I helped develop is dead.

Of course, hearing rags on the computer is no substitute for the real piano playing!
