Wincode v.2.7.3a Available
By Ron Yost
Hi all!
For those with an expired version of "Wincode" the new 'released' version is now available from Snappy Software's home page (nothing like cutting it close, huh?) Go to:
http://www.global2000.net/users/snappy/snappy/software.html
There are two files available. One is a text file explaining the upgraded version; the other is the Wincode .zip file itself. I advise downloading both files.
Text file: wc273r16.txt
Wincode .zip file: wc273r16.zip (about 1 meg)
This is the most 'automatic' version of Wincode yet and will handle almost any coded file you'll throw at it.
It's still a 16-bit program, but runs quite well in Win95.
On another 'note' ;-) I just returned from Walmart and can't find the controversial little Music Box! Could someone please clarify what it is, exactly .. and, WHERE it is located in the store?? Is it in the 'toy' section?? Is the version available at Sears the same design?? (My nearest Sears is 30 miles away)
BTW: I thought the new "Carousel" by Mr. Christmas was quite nice .. the sound, though completely electronic, is getting better every year. (Remember those awful little boxes of a couple years ago that plugged into the Christmas tree lights??) The cute Carousel is a major improvement, though would still drive one nuts after a while!! It IS pretty nicely done, though. Is it worth almost $70?? Well, that depends, doesn't it!! :)
Take care!
