Pouches
By Michael Waters

I have a question open for opinion:

I have the primary valve chest of a Claviola pushup (Hupfeld) apart on my bench and I have found that there is a reasonable amount of leakage at each pouch.

I tryed sealing one to see if it was the leather pouch leaking or the wooden channels in the valve chest. It is obvious that my problem lies in the channels, and that to fix the problem I will need to reseal them (a major job I might add, as I will have to replace all the paper bleeds to perform this).

What I would like to know "Does anyone know what amount of leakage this would have had?. If not, what would best optimize greatest repetion at 4 to 5 inches? (by the way it has pillow pouches, and their not made of zepher skin).

I want to get the best possible results I can out of this player without having to pull it apart again. Thanks for any help given.

Michael
