Advertising...I vote YES
By Jim Canavan
My two cents...
Regarding advertising in the Digest, my vote's a very definite YES! I purchased some wonderful Themodist rolls through an ad placed here a number of months ago, and look forward to more "finds". (But then again, when I receive MBSI pubs in the mail, I go to the classified ads first! <G>)
As one who presently relies on AOL's slooooow Mac Internet browser, I could not afford to check a Web site daily for FS listings. To be honest, I can't understand why anyone would be upset by the presence of FS postings...we all want opportunities to add to our "toy" collections, don't we? If you don't want to read them...ignore them! I'm not interested in the MIDI & computer-technical discussions, for example, so I just scroll by 'em...I'd never suggest that they be removed! I think it's a wonderful idea to place ads in a section at the end of each digest, where those who don't care to read them can ignore them.
