Motor for Steinway Upright
By Spencer Chase

I'm looking for an original or original quality motor for a steamboat pump in a Steinway upright. I'm tired of hearing the modern motor hum and it's the wrong physical size to fit the mounting correctly. No it can't be made quiet (at least this motor.) I have an identical piano with the original motor and it is silent. It needs to be a 1750 RPM .25 HP sleeve bearing motor. They were made by Holzer Cabot, Electirc Specialty and maybe one or two others. I have some misc. Ampico parts for trade
