Replacement Push-Pull Switches
By Pat Mullarky

You should be able to find several types and styles of pull-on, push-off switches in large auto-supply houses! (Or, the good ol' J. C. Whitney's Catalog!)

[ J. C. Whitney's is a wonderful old-time mail-order company for
[ automobile parts. -- Robbie

Look in the electrical section. The switches are "accessory" switches for older auto dashboards. Blister packed. Most have "Faston" connections, which are crimp-on, push-on connectors used in all automobiles (shouldn't be a problem)....

I remember my old Studebaker Lark had mostly pull-on, push-off switches!

The switches are often only stamped 10A 28V, but that's a DC rating. They should _easily_ handle 2A 120V (about 1/4 horsepower). They should last practically forever in an AC application.

I'm trying to find the actual switch manufacturer(s) of the dashboard switches. I'm an electronic design engineer in my day-job, and I have good resources in this area. When I find the "true source", I'm sure that almost any configuration could be ordered. I'll send a follow-up when I find the source.....
