Paris, August 12th 1996,

There is now on the Web a new French Site giving some information about
mechanical or automatic music. I realized it with the most precious
active help of the Internet expert of the CNAM Museum, Olivier
Delaroziere.

I hope to increase the contents of this site in the next months, but
this site gives already a list of associations, a list of museums
(mainly in Europe, I shall add the american and japanese ones later), a
list of Internet links, and various items.

As I want it to be international, I put the texts in three languages :
French, English and German. Please do forgive any mistakes which could
occur in these last two languages.

The aim of this site is just to share some knowledge in these fields,
and give information and enjoyment. No competition, but complementarity
with other existing or future sites on automatic music !

We expect of course to put more images and texts in the future, and
perhaps even sound, probably through real-audio, or Midi files, but
that is another problem.

I shall accept with the greatest interest any criticism, remarks or
