ARTCRAFT Music Rolls now 'On-Line' ...

Even though high-tech has reached the Leabarjan perforators in The ARTCRAFT Studio, they are not being abandoned! This note will be short since I'm in the middle of scoring Duo-Art expression for a terrific simulation of an EIGHT HAND/TWO PIANO Joplin number ... arranged by virtuoso pianist Mark Lutton. [If you've heard the 88-Note or Duo-Art roll I released last year based on his audio recording of LION TAMER RAG (1916) then you can imagine how exciting this roll is.] The flavour of duo-pianists and tricky themes, rising from above as many as 18 notes in some places, is really hard to describe. A Duo-Art owner who happens to be associated with the NY Philharmonic heard the Master on the 'phone (in its early form) and has already ordered a copy. (How about that?)
ARTCRAFT Rolls will be returning to The Louvre, as before, alternating with restored Vitaphone sound films. The series is called "Cine Memoire" and is managed by my Paris representative, Douglas Heffer, who builds the new Duo-Art players, both inner actions and console attachments.
There ought to be an ARTCRAFT Website soon ... but for now, the 'e-mail' address will reach me.
