I've been in Kyoto

Thank you for your mail encouraging me to study more about automatic musical instruments. It is so nice to hear from another music lover. Beside Music boxes and organettes, I play simple pieces on piano whenever I have time.
Since Yamaha is a large group with over 20 companies, I have little chance to recognize our company's business outside Japan, but now I feel like I could experience something about it. It would be exciting if your brother or Mr. Wayne Stahnke could come to Tokyo on a way to Yamaha corporation and factories in Hamamatsu, 2 hours from here by bullet train.
Yamaha Music Foundation is a small organization in Tokyo. We have 500 staffs working for 3 tasks. Most important is the music school business. There are more than 700,000 students in 40 countries around the world. Second is musician promotion. "Chage and Aska" was selected to appear on MTV unplugged as a first asian pop group recently. Their performance can be seen in July or August. Third is publishing. We print textbooks and does other copyright matters. I used to work for teachers training until March, but was moved to proceed a new school programme.
Sorry that my reply became so late. I had been in Kyoto where I saw Rey Akai, a Japanese writer who is specialized in organ. He is the man who Mr. Gellerman had introduced me in the mailing list. I happened to see him only few days after his introduction! I look very much forward to receiving your cassette tape.
Best Regards, Miho Matsuo
