By Laurent Coray

[ Editor's Note: Laurent Coray is a new subscriber (02Jul96). In
[ his letter of introduction addressed to me, he mentioned the
[ URL (Pointer to Web Page) for his company's new product. I
[ invited him to summarize the contents of the Web page for the
[ group, as not all of you have Web access. I've hope Laurent
[ will also send an introduction about himself in the future.
[ Here's the summary of his Web Page:

My name is Laurent Coray, I am the owner of Octet Design. We are introducing a new MIDI/organ product called UM1. The UM1 is an interface box with MIDI input and output on one side, and 128 input/outputs on the other side. It can be used as a console MIDI encoder (generates MIDI codes from key presses) or as a MIDI decoder-driver (activates solenoid outputs according to MIDI codes received).

input or output)

Outputs are TTL compatible, or open collector solenoid drive at

Output option -P provides solenoid drive at 0.500A, 40volts

Outputs are short protected and have built-in clamp diodes

4 PWM outputs for controllers

1 pulsing output for solenoid driven "vibrato"

Inputs are active low or high with built-in pull-ups/down, with
switch debounce
