Leather Belts for Reproducers
By Jim Heyworth

A friend of mind has just asked if anyone knows of a source for leather drive belts for use between the electric motor and pump on his Duo-Art.

They are softer than the rubber/fabric belts currently available and he feels that they run more quietly.

I am fortunate to have an original in my 1922 upright Stroud which is still performing beautifully after all these years. It is a V-belt with heavy linen or cotton stitching from top to bottom of the V along its entire length.

Any comments about availability/desirability will be appreciated.
